If you've just completed the signup process and noticed an immediate charge to your credit card, Don't Panic! There are several possible reasons for this, depending on your situation.

If you were not offered a 14-day free trial, you automatically get a 30-day money-back guarantee. Either way, if you decide not to stick with Chapterly, you can get a refund, no questions asked.

All refunds must be Requested by the User via support chat or email.

If the charge was $19.99 USD:

As of August 2024, we now offer the option to Boost your subscription with additional AI words and bonus content. It's only offered during signup, and the $19.99 is a one-time charge. However, it is not included in the free trial for your subscription. As such, it is charged immediately. If you decide to cancel before the end of your trial or if you purchased the boost by accident, you're welcome to reach out to our support staff to request a refund.

You may not have even noticed the Boost option when you signed up. The screen looked like this. To avoid the charge, simply un-check the box:

If the charge was for any other amount:

Subscription Fees (displayed in the image above):

We see this most often with users who sign up believing it is the first time they've used Chapterly. However, each user only gets one free trial. If you've used yours previously, you'll be charged the subscription fee immediately when you come back to renew. Life can be hectic, and it's easy to forget the little things. You can, of course, still cancel at any time, but you can't have an infinite number of free trials. If you have questions about your previous usage of Chapterly, contact our support staff for assistance.

It is also possible you were among those not offered a free trial. In that case, you automatically get a 30-day money-back guarantee instead. If you cancel before the 30 days is up, just let us know you'd like a refund. You can cancel on your own anytime, but we won't know you want a refund unless you tell us!

Author Success Purchases:

If you selected any of the products offered on this screen during signup, those charges are likewise not part of the free trial and will be processed immediately:
