How to Cancel a Subscription

It is easy to cancel a subscription in the user settings located in the dashboard.

You can cancel your Chapterly subscription by first logging into your account. At the bottom left corner of your dashboard, you will see your name displayed. Click on your name and when the menu pops up, click on "User Settings."

You will be redirected to your user settings page. On the right side of the screen, there is a large red button that says, "Cancel Subscription." Click on the Cancel Subscription button to stop any payments from being charged to the card on file.

Next, you'll see a confirmation of the subscription cancellation on the next screen. You will have the option to renew your subscription within 30 days to keep your information stored on the Chapterly app.

If you signed up with a PayPal account, the option to cancel may not show up in your User Settings. Instead, you'll need to manage your subscription directly through your PayPal dashboard. Here's a PayPal help article to guide you in that process.

Changed your mind before completing the onboarding?

If you haven't finished the sign-up process and have not yet accessed your dashboard, there is no subscription to cancel because it hasn't been finalized. Your account creation is not complete until you've finished the onboarding, even if you've entered your payment information. Those details are only saved locally in your cache until your account setup is finalized. If you're in doubt, please reach out to our support staff!
