If you've ever spent hours browsing the web for images that match your creative vision, you'll appreciate the simplicity of our AI image generator. You can access the tool from anywhere on the site that images can be uploaded, whether you're creating a cover, adding visuals to your manuscript, or using images to enhance your posts.
When attempting to sell any AI-generated content, it's important to protect yourself by understanding the legalities involved. Learn more here.
Step 1:
Open the image selector from any part of the site. In addition to the AI option, you can also select a royalty-free image from Unsplash or upload one from your device. Using a mobile or Apple device? Click here.
Follow the instructions on the screen and select the style that best fits your vision. Don't worry if it's not a perfect fit--you'll be able to fine-tune it in the next step.
Step 2:
Customize your image by adding or removing details from the prompt. The pre-filled text is what generated the style image you selected. Keep in mind that you may have to repeat this step a few times to get it just right. To select a different style, click Go Back at the bottom of the window.
Don't forget to set the aspect ratio in the Advanced drop-down. If you're going for a full-cover image, a portrait orientation may work best. For avatars, a square will probably be most compatible. For a background image on a post or simply a posted image, select a landscape orientation.

Step 3:
Review and insert your image or go back and try again.
All of your generated images are automatically saved to your Album, so even if you decide to go with a previous version, you don't have to remember the prompt you entered!
Other Advanced Settings
The fine details can make all the difference! Don't be afraid to tinker with these settings in order to produce the perfect image for your book or story.
CFG Scale
CFG stands for Classifier Free Guidance. The setting determines how strictly the AI should follow the prompt you've given. To allow for a more creative (and sometimes comical) approach, use a lower CFG. To force the AI to follow your instructions more closely, use a higher CFG.
Steps
This tells the AI how many times it should attempt to refine the image based on your prompt. You'll find most of the template styles are set fairly low on the scale by default. You can use a low amount to generate an image faster and see the way your image composition is headed, or you can use more Steps to generate a more accurate and complex image.
Negative Prompt
This setting can be especially useful if you've made multiple attempts and don't like something the AI keeps putting in the image. For instance, if you've asked for a picture of a witch and it keeps offering images that include a hat you don't want her wearing, you would put 'hat' or 'no hat' in the negative prompt. Simply putting 'no hat' in the main prompt may confuse the AI.
